How far in advance do you need to hire a planner?

It’s never too soon to put your name on a date! We recommend reaching out to us at least 12-24 months prior to an event, but we are happy to hold dates without a deposit for events more than 24 months in advance. We limit the number of events we take on per year in order to provide our clients with an unparalleled level of service and attention. Send us your dates! 


How much does an event planner cost?

The cost of hiring FHD is based on the scope and level of service needed to accomplish the event -- in most cases we charge a flat fee. You can expect to spend between 10%-15% of the overall event budget on event planning. 


Do you offer any less expensive options?

Our PreFab option is designed for clients who want to have an unforgettable FHD event on a budget. This service is perfect for people who want an awesome FHD party without the expense of a completely custom event.


Do you plan weddings?

While we never say never, our speciality is Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, milestone life events and corporate celebrations. However, if you’re planning a wedding and would like to talk to us, please feel free to reach out to us and we can talk about your plans!  We’re always happy to have a conversation with you.

Can I order invitations and swag if I’m not a current FHD client? 

Absolutely! Our in-house design team would be happy to work with you to create custom invitations and swag for your event.


Where are you located?

We are headquartered in New York City, but we have planned events across the Tri-State area and beyond. We are always happy to talk about destination events and parties outside of the Tri-State area. 


Do I need to hire an event planner?

No, you don’t NEED an event planner! A professional event planner isn’t for everyone and there are many types of planners out there -- similar to other specialized services (e.g. interior designers), we are experts in our field and craft. 

At FHD, we partner with our clients to create one of a kind milestones and celebrations. We limit the number of events we take in a year because we provide an unparalleled level of service and attention for our clients. There are less expensive event planners available but frequently they require a more significant time commitment from the clients.
