This was a dream event for me… a client with a crazy out there vision and the drive to see it realized! People occasionally approach me wanting to have a “food truck” event in a raw space which seems fun, easy and economic- none of which are true.
Raw spaces by definition are raw, meaning literally without anything built into the space. The Garage on West 50th Street is a perfect example of such a space. I’m not kidding- it’s a converted garage and with the exception of the bathrooms it doesn’t even have running water. This might sound crazy but it makes me giddy! The most fantastic challenge!!
Thank you to Jessica at Thomas Preti for working so hard with me over every single detail from the forks to the truck. And to my great friends at PBG Productions for helping me literally build this party! Also, thank you to my friend Courtney Collins for the supreme pictures!
Lastly, a BIG thank you to my great client who gave me the space and control to take her vision to the next level!
This party had one NEED to have… the amazing kabuki drop!! I tried to go-pro it but failed so here is a GIF to give you the idea! Surprise!!
And the rest of the dreamy details once the curtain dropped!……
Food!!! Served from the truck and 2 street fair style booths with a constantly changing menu was so abundant that everyone went home stuffed and happy!
I can safely say that everyone had the best best time!!
